OCIENJC, I didn't get them dyed yet, dude that dyed my ballys said he tried to dye a pair of Ice tie-up B-dubbs that this brother who lives out in Texas brought in(must be a east coast brutha') and he wanted them burgundy, the shoe man said he put coat after coat to no avail because the suede was soaking up the dye and it came out sorta pinkish in color. He said he took a pic with his camera phone and sent it to ol' boy and dude from texas tolld him to just dye them all black which in turn came out a greyish color. So I'm kinda skeptical now, I don't want to burn a good pair of shoes sine there's no tellin' if I'll be able to get another pair since Mike's sold out big sizes. Unless I can find a brotha who can REALLY dye suede or sew another suede color over the existing color, or remove the original color and replace it with the color suede I want I'm just gonna keep'em. I haven't even worn them joints yet.

Yo Inc, I used to be an all hip hop head until the late 80's when I started to dislike the direction that rap music was going. I was DJ'ing also and was playing a variety including house music and when I started to sway from the hip hop I started buying more and more house music. I live for the HOUSE MUSIC.. I DJ'd in NJC back in the day at a pub called the San Franscisco Pub in EO NJC also Club 88 in East Orange NJ. Was just a kid back in that day but DJ'd behind DJ Easy. Tony Humfries at Zanzibar was my motivator and he was def the house king. I would love to get some of your mixes ALLNAT, DOUBLE and INC. Put a brotha up on some good Mixes down here in the VA area. I dont know about my BWB's but i feel something good brewing here for this business. I also checked with some Cobblers in this area and none of those cats will touch the Brits.. They said they wont risk it. This brings a though to mind. I know we have not found the manufacturer yet that will produce them for us, but when we do we need to have them also produce a dyeable pair. these will need to be neutral in color. Depending on the colors they produce, it will be to our benefit to have a dyeable pair. Just my crazy thoughts. Also I was blessed on Yesterday to hook up with ICEISNICE on the Phone. Brotha def has some business ethics and has a opportunity that you may be interested in. I know once we kick this business off, we will need his services. Anyway.. lets kick some knowledge around. Double, it would be good to network the Manchester cats with the BWB's for future business opportunities. Also they may have clout with manufactures over there that could reproduce clothing for us. Never know until we ask.. Whats your thoughts, im on the edge with this. Don't want to overstep my self, kick me some wisdom.

What up B-Dub Crew I just remember something one of reasons that the B-Dubs slowed down, that last run like the one's we have now most people didn't want all the joints to have the top the same color as the stripe on the two tones. It was ok for some but I rather the whole shoe be leather one color and the stripe suede. on some colors the top suede was and is a bit much.

Yo J you right son I was tellin Nat Imma get some leather or suede put on the top cuz for real these joints is suede shoes with leather trim word. I mite put my own skills to work on the stripe the tongue whatever. I mite paint some stripes on the top or something that tongue is a prob thats why dudes dont recognize em right away. I am going to do a test on a old pair of sand wallies before I hit Ice if it works on wallies I am going to do the Ice with a blue straight to rock with some blue and white plaids. I am thinking of doing rust green with a white stripe.

I feel the same way Mook,its just something about British Walkers that created a frenzy back in the day.I only got the black tie-ups that I have never worn.I am tryin to be patient because I know that the Palladio joints are right around the corner(o yes they will re-surface)Question..if the palladio joints came back out today,tell me what color would you brothas would get and what would you you rock them with?? i would get the Burgundy of course that's da basic. The black hi-top leather and suede with the quilted top, da blue and beige and brown n beige I would rock'em wit da levi denim suit, coogi jeans, sean john joints, with these BVDs I copped or some french cuff button down shirts. whateva's cleva treva. Neek seriously yo if I had a pair of Palladios I would rock em wit ANYTHING son I probably would get the blue joints like Biz got all leather suede stripe quilted tie-ups yo I feel like a kid on the stoop fantasizing about what kinda car we want. LOL but yeah Navy would be my first choice obviously it goes with everything but if they only had burgundy I would get 3 pair all leather suede stripe slip on, all leather tie up,and all suede slip on all my joints would def be quilted. I would rock a pair of stiff Levis 501 so you could see the whole shoe and one of them old man bowling type shirts, LL kangol.

I'd get as many of the flava's as could possibly be got. The main pair I remember having back around 1979-1980 were all blue and it had the wide tassle with the leather strips - kinda looked like those frills you'd see on a leather jacket. One pair I fiended for back in the day was the burgundy and grey suede slip-ons. All I can hope for is that if Palladio (or whoever has ownership of them) do bring them out they don't get all ridiculous and make too many different variations of them as that would be overkill. Now I could see them making some limited edition British Walkers, say maybe some gator skin or ostrich skin but not to make them look too pimped out. None of that personalized stuff like you can do with sneakers as to me that takes away from the intent of the shoe designer. And I want them to be as close to the original ones as possible because old skool British Walkers were made with really good quality leather and suede and the shoes were always comfortable. I remember some cats used to play basketball in them after they got out of church. Dig, I wouldn't want Diddy or Russ or Jay to take stake in the company because they'd put their "touch" on the shoes, like Wu Tang did with their Wu-Wallabees (which I never bought). I never bought Eastlands because to me they were knockoff Timberlands. And I had to wrestle with my inner id just to buy the S.Carter's because I was an original Gucci sneaker wearer. I've no doubt that at some point in the future Gucci is gonna come back out with their original sneaker, and Bally is gonna come back out with their original Aden and Alex, and Palladio (or someone with respect to originality) will come back out with the original British Walker like Sanders Shoes has continued to do with Playboys.

Yeah Prome you right them dudes would f*** em up cuz of course they would have to put their S*** in them especially Puff yo dat ni66a would make it so you wouldnt recognize em at all. The Palladios and these joints are both made of real fine materials both the leather and the suede, the sole on the Britisher Playboys is organic thats why they was 180. All it will take is for one of them dudes to start asking around about BWs and it would be on. if they couldnt get the name they would come out wit something real slick with that look. I remember lugz came out wit something called the Hustler a Wally look alike nobody but RJ has put out the BW and they made money of that and the playboy.

See that's what I'm talking about you guys remember all the two tones didn't have the suede top some did but most did not. how big are those mock necks running? I still got the gray & wine trim mock with the button on the shoulder I wore a large back then. I put on a lot of weight since then.

Yeah I got the Davanzanti playboys ones from ebay they are burgundy I rocked them with a pair off dark blue jeans and a Burgundy silk and dark blue and burgundy pinstripe blazer. All the women were on it from the youngins the classy asses even the old biddies was size in me up. I am still waiting for my brown sanders joints from the uk. I fell you DoublePromo a man got to keep it official if it aint real it aint right. We don't follow the trend we set the trend or resurrect it by breathing new life in to it

Wassup Yo!, anybody remember the Destino's they came in low and 3/4 boots like the bally. they was pretty fly too. But da BW's was butta' softeven da 3/4 boot joints. I didn't care to much for the zip-up joints but the tassles, the vel straps, and tie-ups...really whateva' color or style you had you was da man. remember how you used to ask ya boy could you rock his if you didn't have any or he had a color you didn't have made you look like you had a whole lot. Allnat, I was just thinking about those Destino's from back in the day; they had 3/4 and low-cut and they had the buckle strap on them - used to rock them with Lee twills back in the day. I'm trying to remember if I was rocking a Member's Only jacket too back then.

Yo! Allnat I had them zip joints I just got em' cause they where new but I didn't care for them much plus the zipper would never stay up I always had to stop and pull em' up every 10 or 15 minutes.

Ice good work I know KOMAN still makes clothes I just got my son a KOMAN Brooklyn bomber in November so if we hit them up can we get them to put mocks back in production, if they don't have any DSTk lying around. Yo, I been thinkin,I had Promes joints, suede stripe quilted, but yo Im thinkin right,yo in between the quilted lines was also suede the whole top tongue wasnt leather and only the stripe was suede I remember in between the quilted lines was suede I been tryna look at Biz burgundy all leather slip-on cuz them joints is quilted you get a quick look at 7:26,27. Mook- cant remember the details on that.. But I have another question. Who were the original manufacturers of the Mock Necks?? Does anyone have a pic of the old Mock necks.. I know a Master Taylor in the VA Area that could probally reproduce a very decent replica. I know we dont like to do the replica's but if we cant get the orginal producers to kick out some more, then we are left with no choice. If you have a pic of the Mock's, shoot me a pic at ociecla@regent.edu . Im going to run some things down on this end and go to the Material store to see if there is any Knits that compare to the original Mocks. I am going to try to get a sample made for us to check out. We could put our own label on them if the product is approved by the crew and then we will have to see about getting a mass production. Who can head up the business aspect to see what it would take for us to do this? I would, but cant do the due diligence right now. Yo J even on the all suede slip ons the stripe isnt distinctive,look at yours and tell me they look like BWs to the untrained eye, the first pair I saw a dude wit was the black tie-ups in 2005 and me being a real Britisher expert I looked then I got close I said son those Britishers? He smiled and said yeah my brother used to wear em (he was a lil young 26). I knew but if you got some look at em, now tell me what distinguishes the stripe nuthin! If you dont know what you lookin at you mite think they wallys or something so I decided to go look at Kidw's burgundy all suede joint and guess what, the stripe aint leather but its like cloth its darker than the suede I kept thinkin bout doing something to the stripe on my 3 pair of crowns but since I seen that all suede slip-on, Im def either painting the stripe or dying or something yo the stripe even on the suede is suppose to stand out thats how you can spot em so right now Im painting my Black stripe red or gray the rust crowns I dont know. The original mock neck co. name is Wayne Scott, I still have one I posted it this morning but I don't know how long before it show up.

The crown came in leather suede and both leather with the suede stripe the last pair of crowns I had back in the day was navy blue all over but the stripe was suede but never really liked the all suede back then because you really couldn't see the stripe all you had was the tassels and the tag to ID them. where they missed up was every time they put a style the they would stop making the older styles so if you saw a hot joint and didn't get it right away you may never get it unless you got lucky and a store just still had it in stock. I remember that very well.

Also Bwb Crew Check Manhattan wardrobe & supply .com they claim to be able to dye any thing but damn I'm not Dying my joints I'm gonna rock em' as is One.

BWB's Peace and blessings to you. I called the Manhattan Wardrobe & Supply as Big J put us up on and they dont dye anything but they supply the dyes and paints to do anything. They said the BW's suede can only be tinted down (example) Black cant be dyed to any other color, Dark colors cant be tinted light, but light colors can be tinted down. Like the Beige joints i have can be tinted to Charcoal gray or Burgandy (Feeling me). He said the leather part of the shoe is painted with a leather paint. (Anycolor). It's a brush on paint, but the guy said it goes on smooth. He said this is the dye they use to use on the ADIDAS back in the day. He said it wont come off. So if you are up for a challenge, go for it. I think i may call Mikes and order some RJ colts to practice on. I dont want to mess up my BW's. But once i perfect it, then i will lay the skills to the BW's. Definately going to do the Burgandy and Gray joints. What should I rock em' with. Tips??? BTW, How are the business ventures going, any Prospects yet.. Also ICEISNICE, Im going to hold on the opportunity you presented until i get ready to launch into business, then I will hit you up for the services. Thanks for the opportunity.
