I see a lot of talk about British Walkers; as I stated some time ago I do have the newer versions, the one's that Red Alert was hawking that are supposed to be legit; got 1st pair from 125th Street some time ago and then 2nd pair from Jamaica Avenue. Now, about 2004 a good friend of mine put me on to someone that had some DEADSTOCK Britishers from the 80's and I wish I'd have got more pairs from him but he was hard to get in contact with. Double P Thanks for the pic. The ones at Mikes are from the original company but thay are reissue. you can tell by the lable on the back and the lining is a lower grade leather. The 80's joints have calf skin lining everything was made better than.

Yeah I have two pair of the reissues (come with the black cloth bags); the deadstock Britishers were in an individual plastic bag. I'mma take more pics of them when I get home and provide images. I also copped some deadstock 616 Cazal's from Germany (cost me about $700). Now, lemme find some teardrop two-tone AJ Lesters so I can iron open the side flap ........ LOL

I wish I did know how to get in contact with this dude for the deadstock Britishers but again this was 2004 and unfortunately I have no way of getting in contact with him; if I did I'd defo let y'all know, and if I ever do find out how to contact him I'll post it here. I remember seeing a poster on a bus for VIM and they had some shoes that looked like the old skool Bally Aden's (ankle-high lace-up joints) but I'm thinking it was GBX that was making them but don't see them on their site. Funny thing is that I actually bought a pair of GBX fugazi Playboy's not knowing that I could still find the official UK joints, and by the time I found that out I couldn't return the GBX's so I gave them to a friend (I hadn't even worn them) and copped the brown joints from Mike's. I'm that old skool dude just like y'all here ... it's all about authentic for me. I still wear Adidas Superstars with the off-white shelltoe and sole - remember getting them from Jew Man back in the day, back when Alexanders was on 3rd Ave in the Bronx, and there was a Florsheim's on 149th Street and there was a sneaker store right across the street, back then when Pro-Cons were the knockoff Pro-Keds. One of my regrets - back in 2001 I moved and I still had about 7-8 pair of my original Bally's (black suede ankle high laceups, olive green ankle high suede laceups, blue low laceups, two pair of red with creme sole laceups, two pair of tan laceups), and I left them in one of the closets when I moved - was never able to get them back. If they come back out, I honestly wouldn't want Diddy or Jay Z to put them out unless it had the official Bally seal of approval and they were identical in every way ... I wasn't feeling how Jay Z's sneakers cold bit the 80's Gucci sneakers but eventually copped a few pair of them as they were comfortable.

Just came from Mike's again - I copped the black leather Playboys as they don't have anymore of the blue ones. I wanted the Ice laceup Britishers but he only had the slip-ons but I was never feeling the slip-ons even back in the day, though the slip-ons I did have had the wide leather tassle on them. Playboys are still at a buck-eighty which is liveable. Now I gotta find the Ice lace-ups. Didn't have time to go to Prato's for some mock necks but will check them out next week. Haven't been in that store since the early 90's when I used to get silk shirts to rock with the leather pants and Bally's (aka Bal-dogs) .... The Bdubs that are being sold today are not the real joints.I bought a pair of the black lace ups and the bottoms were rock hard.I had several pair back in the day and they were very comfortable.Maybe we need to talk to Diddy,Jay-Z,Russell or somebody about coming back out with British.I think FatJoe tried to come back out with British a few years ago
