Some of these clothing companies never stopped making stuff - they just flew under the radar. FootJoy has been making golf gear for years, Ellesse and Diadora have been in the soccer game, and Sergio Tacchini has always made tennis gear. It was 1985 when I started getting real gear-conscious, first with Tommy Hilfiger, Polo, Clarks (I was rocking Padmore's and Wallabee's) and Benetton. But back then there was a difference between wearing fitted jeans vs. the douchebag special skinny jeans todays young'uns are wearing. And the Budweiser clydsdale-size hightop sneakers the kids are wearing today just look ri-frikkin-diculous. And even though us BWB's have a few years on us I bet that when y'all are outside rockin' your old skool gear you get the older crew that knows what time it is with the gear checkin' out your gear as well as the teens and 20-somethings checking out your gear. What we have is what the young kids wish they had - REAL SWAG. Yet we don't walk around trying to show it off .... we grew into it, nurtured it, and it's a part of who we are. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
