Wadditizz,Prome you right,ayo check it, my man played tennis all his life he went to college and played, at one time rated in the top 25 collegiate players in the nation. Him and my pops love tennis and they always got me to watch of course Imma grid iron/hoopster type cat. I remember always seeing the Tennis players with the freshest gear that was never in the stores. Bjorn Borg had Fila in 79-80 other dudes wore the Reebok, Diadora,Ellesse my man was the first cat in the hood to rock Le coq and Sergio Tacchini he gave me a Le coq hoodie in Spring 82 it was royal blue with a thick rope for the string the front had a big triangle with a chicken inside at the bottom it said "Training" yo it was slick as s**t dudes was jockin reeeeeal hard they never seen nuthin like that,then about 3 years later he comes home with a Sergio sweat suit I jacked him for the jacket he aint let me catch him for the whole joint. Sayin all that to say if you watch tennis you'll see these dudes still rock all that stuff you right Prome we stop rockin it they dont stop makin it. Yo check out some old flicks of the 80s 70s tennis stars on you tube see what they rockin you might be surprised. Ivan Lendl to me was the flyest and he kept hiz ish neat. As far as swagger goes I said that when I first came on the site we had a defined look about us everybody didn't dress like us it wasn't an age thing cuz older dudes like Kurtis Blow Russell Kool Herc Bam all the pioneers rocked that s**t homey! So when we step into something today we know how to look good, but not like a-body else, and still have people lookin at our gear and start smilin at us or askin us where we got something or tellin us they like such & such or hear dudes sayin ish like "dam sun is killin em wit dat right?"cuz we dressed according to the hip-hop dress code which is extinct now, I challenge anybody to prove me wrong and find a hip-hop dress code for today.Well thanx for lettin me write this essay on 80s styles/tennis players/obscure gear oh yeah I was in the store today Pony got a white w/Black stripe hi-top shoe out right now.
