Mook: Am I missing something here? I have never questioned/criticised your intelligence or your ability to express yourself. That's Brock's thing, not mine. I come from a different walk of life than most of the people here, so I don't always understand the slang, but for the most part, everyone makes perfect sense. >> More sense than that animal who claims to be so smart. The only time for me that grammar/word choice becomes an issue is when people lack basic education and/or social skills. Case in point: I called a business recently and asked 'what are your hours of operation?' The response was a long pause and a couple of uhh...s. Only when I asked 'when is the place open?', did I get a response. Obviously, that experience left something to be desired. On another note, I agree with you that categorising friends is an iffy matter. Friendships should be valued in accordance with the quality of the friendships, not according to how they originated. You all may have met online, but many of you have been in contact for a few years now and e-mail, ring each other, and meet up. You are no less important to each other because you met online. I am consistantly impressed with the sincerity and loyalty I see on here. Magee: Yes, I know. How could something that was introduced in 1983, was an instant hit, and remained used and well-liked until the mid '90s, ever be called 'trendy'? The brick phone had a longer run than many of today's mobiles.
